No! This is not just another blog post or article about what should wear the gentlemen next season. This is only a short information about my new project in cooperation with cocccon – creativity can care (founded by Chandra Prakash Jha). Yesterday I finished six selected designs with ties and pocket squares made out of organic ahimsa silk from Jharkhand, India (cocccon – crafts & loom). This new collection we will showcase at Berlin Fashion Week in January 2018 at Greenshowroom Berlin.
The designs I shared with you in this article are “leftovers” from lots of ideas and different designs. Be curious and I will share more updates about it in my next articles.
Ahimsa Silk Ties & Pocket Suares / cocccon – creativity can care
For this collection the first time I used less colors and create different color combinations for every design. From classic to modern clssics with a clear graphic design based language and inspired by architecture and avantgarde. My personal masterpeace is the new interpretation from the classical paisley look. Neo-Paisley with a touch of timeless luxury in combination with the legendary hounds tooth check patterns. You will be surprized I hope.
Here some technical details about how I create patterns for pocket square and tie designs. Because of my graphic design background I do it with an application from Adobe called Illustrator. Its is the perfect software from my point of view to create vector graphics for pattern rapports.
